About Dothan Youth Soccer Association

The Dothan Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of competitive youth soccer teams from the Wiregrass Area. We compete in the Southern Soccer League, U.S. Youth Soccer Association sanctioned tournaments, and surrounding state sanctioned tournaments. DYSA is a member of U.S. Club Soccer.

The Dothan Youth Soccer Association has long been a soccer pioneer in the Wiregrass. We were the first area club to introduce paid, professional coaches to work with our players. We were also the first to hire a Director of Coaching and the first to develop a structured training curriculum for our players and teams. The Dothan Youth Soccer Association soccer complex is located at Westgate Park, Dothan and it provides our players with one of the best practice facilities in South Alabama.

Since 1986, Dothan Youth Soccer Association teams have won One Div. I State Championship, Three Div. II State Championships and 24 Governor’s Cup titles. We have held Micro-soccer programs for ages 4-8 twice a year to prepare future players for team play through Recreational or Premier Leagues.

A major point of emphasis with the Dothan Youth Soccer Association program is to prepare our young athletes for their high school and college soccer experience. Dothan Youth Soccer Association has a proud history of placing our young athletes in top college programs around the country. DYSA has helped 24 players attend college on scholarship.
